The Platinum Standard for Replacing Missing Teeth.
… is one of the few select dental offices in the Lancaster area where the entire implant process is handled here in our office.
The average dental practice will refer their patients to a variety of specialists for the implant procedures. Because of our Doctor’s enhanced training in implant dental procedures, our patients never have to leave the familiar comforts of Dentistry for Life.
Who will Place the IMplant?
Dr. Herres has received board certification in the placement and restoration of dental implants by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as an Associate Fellow.
Dr. Herres approaches cases from a new perspective by what the patient’s feelings, wants, and desires are, then engineers the final restorations based on the patient’s individual biomechanics.
Every patient is unique and every implant should match the patient. Not just in appearance but in the individual’s function as well.
Specific implants matter?
American Made “BioHorizons Implants Featuring Laser-Lok Technology”
In today’s ever changing manufacturing landscape so many of the products in today’s society are outsourced to foreign countries. We take pride in using only the very best implant materials that are made in the U.S.A. in Birmingham, Alabama.
BioHorizons implants are some of the most scientifically tested and constructed implant systems in the world. They have developed Laser-Lok technology that has elevated the implant to a new level and is not found on any other implant system.
Laser-Lok microchannels is a series of cell-sized circumferential channels that are precisely created using proprietary laser ablation technology. This technology produces optimally sized channels for bone and gum tissue to attach. This allows for a more esthetic and longer lasting implant restoration.
Am I a Canidate for Implants
Most patients are candidates for the life changing effect of dental implants. There are some cases where an uncontrolled medical condition might limit the success of the implant and those may be discussed with Dr. Herres.
How Do Implants work?
Through a process known as osseointegration, in which titanium metal is fused with the jawbone, small titanium screws are placed in the jaw via a comfortable outpatient surgical procedure here in our office. After a period of healing, a crown is then placed over the implant replacing the missing tooth (or teeth). If properly cared for, dental implants can last a lifetime, as opposed to bridges and dentures, which need to be replaced every 7 to 15 years.
